Upon meeting someone's large dog, Lili says, "Hey mom, you think I could ride this dog?"

Then, a few weeks later, while driving around, talking about something with Cadee beside me, I hear Lili behind me, "Ooo. That dog looks big enough for me to ride."

This one is sweet....

There has been a little boy at school that is just not very loving (I have a strong sense that he doesn't get very much love at home and that's why he acts out at school). Lili sits at a table with him. Now, she has dealt with bullies before. Why does it seem that bullies are attracted to her? Or that she is always put next to the bully? Here's why... Because Liliana has thee biggest heart. She truly cares and understands compassion. This girl is going to do huge things. She is going to change the world. It gives me goosebumps.
We were talking about this little boy the other night, and I mentioned that he is angry because maybe anger is all he knows. Lili knows love because she is loved and is surrounded by love. Maybe this boy knows anger because he is surrounded by it. {Grab your tissues now} Lili looked at me with big, blue, sad little eyes and said, "Mommy, I want to make E a picture. And I will make him one every day so he can feel loved and then he will be nice to me. I will tell everyone at our table to do it too."
Oh, my little Liliana. How I love your heart. God is going to do great things with you. This is only the beginning...and even the beginning is changing me and making me better.

Lili was running around pretending there were bad guys that she had to defeat...
"I will put this sparkly on him and he will get married and become a good guy!"

Lili was repeating everything Nana and I were saying. 
Nana said, "Lili stinks." 
Lili pauses... "Nana stinks!"
Nana and I laughed and said- "Ohhh! You didn't say it!"
After awhile, Lili goes- "aww.... Lili stinks."

Lili had a 101.5 temp one day and fell asleep in her bed at 7 pm. I walked in to check on her and found her curled up under her blanket, talking in her sleep. "Well, I didn't know, you silly willy nilly!"

Lili to Daddy- "You thinkin what I'm thinkin?"
Daddy- "Well, I don't know. What are you thinkin?"
Lili- "Roast beef!"

Lili had been fighting a cough for awhile. I made a comment about her having a froggy in her throat.
To which she responded, "If it was a froggy, I'd be going 'Ribbit, ribbit!'"

I was playing doctor with Lili a few months ago... 


She asked, "What's wrong? What hurts?"
I said, "My tummy hurts."
She asked, "Is it because you have a baby in there?" She checks me all out and says, "If it's hard, that means it's a boy and if it's soft, that means it's a girl." (She feels around for a bit..) "Well, it's a little hard and a little squishy...so that means it's a boy! Congratulations!"

We saw a bird sitting on its eggs and Lili shouted, "CONGRATULATIONS, Bird!!!!! Happy pregnant day!" Then she decided to sing the bird a lullaby in "chirps" and started asking it questions.

We were playing pirates one day and it was time to eat. She served the crew macaroni and water and she made everyone say a "pirate prayer". At the end she said- "In Jesus' name, Arrrr-men!" So clever.

In Cadee's class, they are kind of obsessed with author Mo Willems and his "naughty pigeon". So when Lili's preschool did a week about Mo Willems and his books, she was super excited. One day, she was painting *the pigeon*, and she was overcome with excitement! She said- "Cadee will be so cracked out when she sees this pigeon!"

"Mommy! Mommy! I just met a new friend named Jasmine and she has a beautiful voice!" -Lili, at the park

(Talking about E.T.) "I would be scared on a flying bicycle because there's no buckles!"

While watching Yogi Bear...
"Yogi Bear is silly. Boo Boo is collection about things. He's smart about things and teaches Yogi Bear things."

"Congratulations, to the flag, of the United States of America. And to the public..one nation, under God, indivisible for teenage all."

Lili- "Why is the corn cut down? Cuz people ate it all??"
Me- "Uhh...yeah.."
Lili- "And then they use piggy poop to make it grow again. YUCK!"


Yeah, she won't eat corn.

Lili says that Brother's umbilical cord is his "electrical cord". Makes sense, kinda! It's how he gets his energy and strength!

My in-laws have a foreign exchange student. They have hosted him through his last year or two of high school and now he is attending college in the states. He has been there since Hubby moved out. Lili and I were talking about where this man is from and why he lives with Memaw and Bebaw. And I said- "Well he goes to school here and his family lives far, far away in Europe. So Memaw and Bebaw have been nice enough to let him live with them."
Lili thought for awhile and said- "Oh! I remember! His family lives in 'Yummies'!"
I giggled a bit and said- "'Yummies'?? You mean 'Hungary'??"
To which she replied with giggles and grins.

After we told the girls that we were going to be having a baby, Lili was a little confused on the timeline. We were able to explain to her that baby would not be here until after her birthday. The next day, she took cupcakes to her teachers to tell them the good news. On the way to school she said, "I should say that you're pregnant so they know that the baby is in your tummy and not here yet."
